Professional Services Listing

Introduction

This Directory is produced by the Union of British Columbia Municipalities for use by its members. The Directory is designed to provide municipalities and regional districts with one source book for locating professional assistance.

Method of Compilation

Those firms represented here have agreed to purchase the space. Associations and/or licensing bodies representing several of the professional categories included in the Directory were contacted for input and support. In some cases, arrangements were made through various professional groups to access mailing lists, newsletters, membership mailings and directories to solicit participation in the UBCM Directory.

Letters were sent along with information sheets inviting participation from professionals across British Columbia. The intention was to identify firms with a specialization in the municipal field. As a result, we believe this Directory is the most municipally-exclusive Directory now available to local government in British Columbia.

Use of Directory

Members are encouraged to use the Directory when requiring assistance in locating professional firms. It should be noted that if a firm does not appear in the Directory, it does not mean that they are or are not qualified to complete the assigned project. If your municipality or regional district has used other firms of know of others not in the Directory, one might wish to consider approaching them as well. If they do not appear in the Directory you may want to suggest to them that they consider appearing in the next edition.

Categories

Firms appearing in the Directory do so in the category of their choosing. Some firms with multiple disciplines can be found under only one listing in the Directory, but are identified in the main index by all professional categories they identified.

Updates

The next issue of this Directory will be printed/posted each spring.
