Public Transit Funding

UBCM administers funding for two programs that target investments in public transit systems: the federal Public Transit Agreement and the provincial Public Transit Infrastructure Program (PTIP).

Each program provides $52.5 million for a variety of transit systems throughout B.C. At this time, nearly all of the transit systems receiving allocations through these programs have accessed their funding and are implementing projects.

All funding under both programs must be fully expended by March 31, 2010.
