Community Health Promotion Fund

The Community Health Promotion Fund was developed in 2005 with a contribution of $5 million from the Ministry of Health. The intent of the program was to support health promotion projects and activities in communities through a focus on healthy living and chronic disease prevention
In 2006, 2007 and 2008 grants of up to $35,000 were available to support community and individual health promotion in communities across BC. In 2009, the grant was reduced to $25,000. In total, more than 150 pilot projects were approved in close to 100 communities throughout BC.
